"Tip of the Iceberg"
It represents what I feel is going to be the start of a very promising year. As we near the end of January I was fortunate enough to not only spend some time with my father hiking, but to meet up with an old friend Raph, who is the subject of the Bassist set in the people gallery. He was a dear friend to me growing up, and after years of traveling separate roads it was nice to cross paths again, and to get some photos of him doing what he loves.
This coming week a tentative trip is planned to sleep overnight on Joffrey glacier with my climbing partner Matt Kress. I am looking forward to this as it's been nearly a year since I've almost lost a toe to frostbite, and I think I am overdue for another attempt at it.
I have recently restarted my deviantart page as well, at http://www.etheris.deviantart.com, and am currently working on some collaborations with photoshop artist Mauricio, whos work can be found at http://www.manicho.deviantart.com. I am looking forward very much to seeing what we can come up with, he is a phenomenal photographer and digital artist, and I admire his work greatly.
To continue to jump from story to story, I am almost finished my preparation of my Philippines photos for the geography conference in Nanaimo this year. I am very excited to get to present a photo montage of my work to such a large audience!!
Hopefully I will have at least a few more sets up by next week with more photos. Thank you for the kind emails about my work, it's always great to hear from fellow photographers and people who enjoy the photos.
